An AI app with memory may save a chosen preference, refer to earlier chats, infer patterns, or carry current context into a task. Those behaviors have different risks. Before sharing personal details, check what you can see, change, disable, delete, and export.

Macaron is the publisher’s product, so it faces the same standard. Its distinction is Deep Memory combined with life-first suggestions and custom mini-apps.
Official materials say Deep Memory carries preferences and context across sessions and supports mini-apps built from natural-language requests. Macaron’s privacy policy says some inputs go to third-party AI providers to generate outputs, users can object to certain model-training uses, and account deletion is available. It also provides an access and data-portability request path.
Visibility, individual correction, a memory-off switch, and a dedicated memory export are not clearly documented. Account deletion, portability, and individual memory management should not be treated as equivalent.
Long-term personalization raises the cost of a wrong or exposed detail. A food preference is different from health data, a precise location, a password, or another person’s confidential information.

Broader exports may not contain a clean memory file. OpenAI exports chat history and other account data but does not promise a dedicated saved-memory file. Google’s Gemini Apps export covers chats, media, and uploads. Macaron accepts portability requests without specifying a Deep Memory format. Memory-specific exports for Copilot, Replika, and Personal AI were not clearly documented. Inspect any archive before deletion; exporting does not delete server data.
No memory app is categorically safe for minors. Gemini’s past-chat Memory requires users to be 18 or older, and Macaron requires users to be at least 18. Follow current age, consent, and account rules. Never bypass a restriction or encourage a minor to add sensitive details.
