The personal-plan guide lists Starter at 300 transcription minutes monthly, Pro at 1,200 and Unlimited at up to 24 hours a day. It lists the same Plaud Intelligence feature set across these tiers, including Ask Plaud and custom templates; unused monthly allowance resets without rollover. Extra Minutes is a separate top-up.
Budget for work you may need to run again. Six recordings at forty-five minutes are 270 minutes. If a full forty-five-minute re-transcription consumes another forty-five counted minutes, the total would be 315, above Starter's 300. That conditional calculation explains why a retry can change the plan comparison; it is not a measured bill or a claim about every job's charge. For an isolated misspelling, inspect the documented text-edit route before spending minutes on another full transcription.
Pay for the volume actually required, then assess names, numbers and agreements independently. A larger allowance cannot establish transcript or summary accuracy. Obtain recording permission and check processing terms before using confidential material; the manual action list below operates only on permitted wording you enter.
Plaud or Speechify: start with the input you have
Speechify reads text you already have; Plaud Note records speech and then produces a transcript and summary. They solve different first steps:
| Your task | More relevant starting point | Check before paying |
|---|
| Capture a permitted live meeting or call | Plaud Note's recording workflow | Hardware cost, available transcription minutes, recording consent and a sample transcript checked against the audio |
| Listen to a document or verified transcript you already have | Speechify's text-to-speech workflow | Supported file format, the voice you will use and the current plan offer |
| Extract agreed meeting actions | Check the original recording and transcript first | Names, dates, owners and whether a statement was a commitment |
A fluent reading does not validate its source text, and a polished meeting summary does not validate the recording. We tested neither Plaud hardware nor Plaud's transcription accuracy for this comparison.
