Noom describes short daily lessons, exercises or quizzes, food logging and access to coaches or guides. Its published method uses a food-color system to organize calorie-density information; the provider says those colors are not a simple good-food/bad-food judgment. This is a description of the program, not nutritional advice from this review.
The daily lesson route is concrete: from Today’s Plan, open Learn with Noom and choose Read or Listen. To return to a completed lesson, use the previous day or Health → Course Map; while reading, save it with the bookmark and reopen it through the profile’s Saved Lessons. The guide says an uncompleted day has no completed content to show. If a lesson cannot be found, give its title or topic to the Coach and check connectivity. Availability varies by region.
Before paying for this routine, distinguish the time to read or listen, the work of answering an exercise, and time spent logging food. A usable check is whether you can reopen the relevant lesson and explain the action you intend to try. No lesson, duration or Coach response was observed here.
The ongoing work includes finding the intended food and checking how it was logged, not just saving a walking goal. Someone who does not want to log food or complete lessons may not value the same package. The existence of coaching and behavioral lessons does not by itself demonstrate durable outcomes. This review did not appraise a long-term clinical study, so it makes no efficacy comparison with other approaches.
One documented Noom Weight task starts at Success Kit → Food Color Lookup: search by name or scan a packaged item's barcode, then inspect the returned item and details. If a barcode is missing, the help directs you to Yes, let's add it!, enter the required Food Name and any available brand, calories and serving size, then Log. The same guide warns that a manually added item may not immediately enter recent foods or the database, so repeat use can require more work. Scanner availability depends on an eligible app version.
The color guide also says custom meals, recipes and user-entered foods do not show colors. A missing color therefore is not a neutral nutrition assessment or proof of a logging error. This documentation walkthrough makes the input and checking burden concrete; it does not measure time spent, lesson completion, coaching response or health outcomes.
