A separate journal is useful when you want a short record in your own words and a chosen next step. It is not a safer substitute for Ash by default, and it need not duplicate Ash's conversational memory. Keep the task narrow: an event, your own description, an optional action and whether you later followed up.
Sample request
"Build a personal journal with a dated entry ID, an ordinary fictional event in my words, an optional action and recorded/skipped/unrecorded status, with a weekly view counting only my recorded entries and preserving corrections without inventing diagnoses, causes, mood scores or past conversations or sharing the notes."
Suggested fields: date; event label; my own note; optional action; follow-up date; entry status. Request only the fields that help you; an empty action should remain optional.
Proposed checks with fictional data:
| Fictional input or edit | Expected result to check | If it differs |
|---|
| Five dates contain four recorded entries and one unrecorded date | Four recorded entries and one visible gap | Count recording coverage only, not wellbeing |
| Remove an optional action | The note remains valid without an action | Do not invent a task or symptom to fill it |
| Correct one event note | Only that entry changes in the weekly view | Keep a summary tied to entered events, without a diagnosis |
| Need | Ash | Macaron example |
|---|
| Main role | Provider-described voice/text emotional-support conversation with continuing context | A proposed journal with fields and actions you select |
| Weekly review | AI-generated insights to examine critically | A manual view of chosen entries, without a clinical score |
| Privacy decision | Read Ash's server-processing, optional improvement and deletion policies | Read Macaron's processing policy; a personal field is not a privacy guarantee |
Macaron's policy says submitted content may be processed by third-party AI providers with the described permission process. Use minimal, fictional details while building; neither the word personal nor a custom field promises local-only storage, clinical confidentiality or encryption of every end-to-end step. Avoid sharing sensitive entries, and check actual access and deletion controls before using real notes.
Four recorded entries and one unrecorded day show recording coverage only. An optional action left blank is a valid choice, not a symptom or a gap for AI to invent; a weekly theme remains an interpretation to check against the events.
